About Michael Zaporzan

Michael Zaporzan has worked within the aviation industry for over 30 years, but he has been flying planes for even longer.

While most teenagers are excited just to get their driver’s license, Michael began flying planes at the age of 16, acquiring his Private Pilot’s license before many of his peers even passed their driver’s test. Following the lead of his older brother, who was the first in the family to express a passion for flight, Michael took to the skies. He enjoyed spending his free time high above the towns below, relishing in the freedom and possibilities flight opens up for a young man.

After finishing high school, Michael pursued Aviation in college and became licensed in aircraft maintenance. He began his professional career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for the Manitoba Government Air Service, a position that allowed him to acquire an even deeper knowledge of the industry.

Michael holds an Airline Transport Pilot license and has many years of experience on different aircrafts. He served as a Captain on a Bombardier Aerospace’s Lear 45. He has also spent a great deal of time on the Cessna’s Citation series (I, II, SII, V). Although Michael has an appreciation for all aircrafts, his favorites include the Lear 45 jet and the Super Decathlon, which is a fun, aerobatic plane.

He is highly certified, not just in aircraft maintenance, but also as a training pilot. As the Quality Assurance Manager for the Government Air Service, Michael was responsible for maintaining the highest standards and ensuring that both the maintenance and administration were in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations. He was also the training coordinator, which involved training flight crew, pilots, and maintenance personnel.

In 2003, Michael Zaporzan founded JETZ Aviation Ltd. where he serves as President to this day. Michael is a Senior Certified Aircraft Appraiser and works within corporate aircraft acquisition. He is also a member of the National Aircraft Appraisers Association and is endorsed by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Under JETZ Aviation, Michael works with his team to provide the best solutions to fulfill every client’s aviation needs, delivering high quality results within each client’s budget.
